I have been baking and decorating cakes for over 15 years. It all began at a Wilton cake decorating class at JC Penney. That 4-week beginner’s class gave birth to my baking bug and the purchase of my very best friend in the world--my Kitchen Aid mixer. I am a member of the Retail Baker’s Association, the International Cake Exploration Society and am also an award-winning decorator in the state of Maryland.

The business began as “Cakes by Marcia”, a local, word-of-mouth bakery. I did no advertising, simply built the business by producing a good, consistent product for very satisfied customers. In January 2004 I decided to spread my entrepreneurial wings just a little wider and expand to the internet. The launching of “Oh, What A Cake!” in October 2004 was the expansion of my cake line to include homemade pound cakes that can be enjoyed locally or shipped anywhere in the continental US.

One of the greatest blessings in life is to enjoy your work and to share that joy with others. So, I thank God for giving me the talent to make people happy while doing something that brings me great joy.
